Reconstructive Surgery

At our practice, we understand that reconstructive surgery is often a deeply personal journey. We specialise in reconstructive surgery to enhance both form and function, dedicated to restoring confidence.

Our expert team offers compassionate care for various reconstructive repairs.  See our offerings below to discover the ultimate reconstructive solutions.

Reconstructive Surgery

  • Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose for functional or aesthetic improvement. Cosmetic rhinoplasty enhances nasal proportion and harmony, while post-traumatic rhinoplasty restores form and airway function after nasal injury. Techniques vary depending on the extent of cartilage and bone involvement.

  • Surgical correction of congenital clefts in the upper lip and/or palate to restore normal appearance, speech function, and feeding. Lip repair typically occurs in early infancy, followed by staged palate repairs, often requiring multidisciplinary care through childhood.

  • A surgical procedure aimed at improving the appearance, function, or texture of a scar that has healed poorly or restricts movement. Methods include excision, geometric rearrangement, skin grafting, or laser resurfacing, tailored to scar type and location.

We can’t make them invisible, only better.

Paediatric Plastic Surgery

  • Surgical treatment of congenital pigmented lesions such as congenital melanocytic nevi. Indicated when lesions are large, cosmetically concerning, or carry a risk of malignant transformation. Early evaluation guides timing and method of treatment.

  • Management of low- and high-flow vascular anomalies (e.g., venous, capillary, or arteriovenous malformations). Treatment may include surgical excision depending on size, location, and functional impact. Often requires multidisciplinary input.

  • Early surgical correction of cleft lip and/or palate to support feeding, speech development, and facial growth. Lip repairs are typically performed around 3–6 months of age, with palate repairs around 9–12 months. Long-term care may involve orthodontics and speech therapy.

  • Reconstructive surgery for congenital anomalies of the hand, such as syndactyly (fused fingers), polydactyly (extra digits), or absent digits. Aims to improve function, dexterity, and appearance, with timing guided by developmental milestones.

  • Surgical reshaping of prominent or misshapen ears, commonly performed in early childhood (typically after age 5). The procedure repositions the ears closer to the head, correcting ear projection or deformities like lop ear or Stahl’s ear.

  • Tailored techniques to minimize the visual or functional impact of scars in children, accounting for growing skin and facial development. Options include surgical excision or Z-plasty, often timed to minimize disruption to growth and healing.
